Carbon emissions have reached record highs in most countries. Global warming has caused most of the devastating climate changes that the world is encountering. The use of solar energy is an effective way of reducing these greenhouse gases.

When you install solar panels on your home, you contribute to generating clean energy, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and cleaning up the air around us all. Even a small solar system of about 5 kW installed on your roof can reduce carbon emissions by as much as 250,000 pounds, or the equivalent of planting 21,000 square feet of trees.

Just think: if all homes in a major city were to install solar panels, the air quality in the entire area would improve substantially. Farmlands, beaches, lakes, rivers, and even marine life would be positively affected. The reduced pollution would be equivalent to removing hundreds of cars from the road.

And, of course, solar energy is entirely renewable; it can never be fully exhausted, unlike other natural resources. Right now, only one-tenth of the sun’s energy is being harnessed. The more of the sun’s energy we can use, the closer we get to being able to power the entire globe with excess! As our need for power increases and as the natural resources of oil and coal decrease, we must seek sustainable, clean energy. Now is the time to harness solar energy to fulfill any current and future energy requirements and to greatly reduce greenhouse gases.
